Poiat Lavitta Chair Design
Lavitta, designed by Poiat, is a collection of clean-lined seating and tables that were awarded as the furniture of the year at the Finnish Muoto Gala in 2015.
The First member of Lavitta collection is a small chair that draws upon the influences of traditional Finnish outdoor furniture. Now this countryside classic that has the generous combination of two structural parts – the seat, rear legs, backrest, and front legs – has been given a new interpretation and more sophisticated appearance in the form of Lavitta chair. Lavitta chairs are designed to overlap each other for easy horizontal storage.
The Collection also includes various sizes of dining tables and a bench. With their tapering legs and rounded corners they all follow the lines of the chair and are available in different sizes and shapes.
The chair is made of two mould pressed pieces of plywood and its surface is laquered or stained. The tables have a veneered plywood top and cnc-cutted plywood legs with connecting structures made of mould pressed plywood. The extremely simple form and elegant palette of materials make Lavitta collection perfect choice for every interior from private homes to public spaces.
